Cross Country Running

The WYC’s sports programs will resume when COVID-19 guidelines have changed.

An introduction for young runners to the sport of cross country through games, speed play, and trail runs. The focus is on making running fun and interesting and to forge a team-like atmosphere. Weekly practices will be led by coaches and members of the Mt. Greylock Cross Country Running Team. All that is needed are running shoes, water, a positive attitude, and the desire to run and have fun. All abilities are welcome and no prior running experience is necessary. At the end of the session, there is an optional opportunity to participate as a team in the Western Mass Middle School Cross Country Invitational.
